Minerals that are naturally present in mains water can leave traces of scale on humidifier components and pipework. Over time, the scale buildup can restrict the flow of water, causing blockages in pipework and humidifier equipment. This can lead to frequent services, an increase in maintenance costs, and if not maintained regularly, a shorter lifespan of equipment without proper water treatment.
